Engineering: Master's degree in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) OR Direct Ph.D. with a Bachelor's degree from CFTI/valid GATE score with minimum 80% marks. Sciences/Humanities: First class Master's degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks. A valid CSIR-UGC NET/GATE score is mandatory for Institute fellowship.
Description
National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY) offers a research programme leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. The programme is broad-based and involves course credit requirements and a research thesis. The institute encourages research in interdisciplinary areas through a system of joint supervision. Applications are invited under Full-Time Institute fellowship and UGC-NET fellowship schemes, as well as Part-Time categories across various departments including Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering.
