MSCA Opens Call for Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026

Open to researchers from all over the world, of any nationality, holding a PhD with a maximum of 8 years of research experience after their PhD. Global fellowships are restricted to nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States/Horizon Europe associated countries.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships are part of Horizon Europe, designed to help researchers strengthen their scientific careers through international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility. The fellowships support researchers holding a PhD who wish to work in another country while collaborating with internationally recognised research teams and institutions. Nearly 1,600 projects are expected to receive funding under the 2026 call.

Fellowship Categories

1. European Postdoctoral Fellowships:

   • Open to researchers of any nationality.
   • Research project carried out in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe associated country.
   • Duration: up to 24 months.

2. Global Postdoctoral Fellowships:

   • Open to nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States and Horizon Europe associated countries.
   • Research in a third country for 12 to 24 months, followed by a mandatory 12-month return phase in Europe.
