Description
The Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, invites online research proposals for the year 2026–27 under the Human Resource Development (HRD) Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for advanced training in biomedical and health research and to create a pool of trained and experienced human resources in India.

- Short-Term Studentship (STS) — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- MD/MS/DM/MCH/DNB/DrNB/MDS Thesis Support Program — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- Women Scientist Fellowship — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- NRI/PIO/OCI Research Support Programme — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- Support to Institutions and Scientific Professionals/Bodies/Associations — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- Start-Up Grant for Induction into Biomedical & Health Research — Deadline: 30 May 2026
- International Travel Grant Support for Non-DHR/ICMR Scientists & Researchers — Rolling basis
- Workshops Funding Grant in Biomedical Research — Rolling basis
Eligibility: Eligible applicants from UGC-recognised universities, research institutions, medical/dental colleges, and Institutes of National Importance.
Key Conditions:
- All projects involving research on human beings/animals must be cleared by the Human Ethics Committee/Animal Ethics Committee of the respective institute.
- All fellowships are subject to approval by the Technical Evaluation Committee/Project Approval Committee and availability of funds.
